Scigate - data showcase and one-stop shop for legal data

With Scigate - a project of the DSI Community Libraries - an interface to the legal text corpus shall be outlined, which is a classical search interface and a modern programming interface at the same time.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to browse through the entire law text corpus from a single location? And wouldn't it be nice to then be able to access all these legal texts immediately?

This idea is pursued by Scigate - a project of the DSI Community Libraries, under the direction of Prof. Dr. iur. Walter Boente. With scigate, an interface to the legal text corpus shall be presented, which is both a classical search interface and a modern programming interface at the same time.

The goal of scigate is to provide a data showcase and a one-stop shop solution for legal texts or legal data in the broadest sense. With a «running prototype» the project is now also represented at this year's legal hackathon «Open Legal Lab».
