DSI Researcher Dr. Ning Wang has been appointed a member of the Global Future Council on the Future of Technology Policy by the World Economic Forum (WEF) during 2023-2024. She will attend this year's meeting of the new champions in China.
To respond to the evolving landscape of the global economy challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic and a competitive geopolitical environment, the World Economic Forum is returning its tradition of hosting the «Summer Davos» and convening the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions. DSI Researcher Dr. Ning Wang received a personal invitation to attend this meeting in Tianjin, China on 27-29 June 2023.
The theme of this year’s gathering is «Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy». It will gather over 1,500 global leaders from business, government, civil society, international organizations, as well as innovators and academics. Participants will discuss how to navigate the the global economic recovery while simultaneously accelerating progress on critical common goals, from energy transition to safeguarding nature and climate, at a pivotal moment of transformation.
Dr. Ning Wang is honored to join this year’s gathering and looks forward to contributing to fostering ethically informed technology governance through the network and beyond.
