DSI members Liudmila Zavolokina and Kilian Sprenkamp, with co-author Birgit Schenk, won the Best Paper Award in the Digital Government Track at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences with their paper «Citizens' Expectations about Achieving Public Value and the Role of Digital Technologies: It Takes Three to Tango!».
The increasing demands of a digital society have put pressure on governments to accelerate digital transformation while fulfilling their primary task of delivering public value. In their publication, the three authors examine the idea of collaboration between the public and private sectors in favor of optimal public value creation. They identify ways to achieve this and what digital technologies can support the process.
