As a PhD student at the University of Zurich, I specialize in the intersection of multimodal interaction and AI-driven person recognition. My research focuses on developing innovative solutions for human interaction processing, leveraging advanced deep learning techniques to analyze and integrate vocal, kinesic, and facial cues for personal identification. Currently, I am building a comprehensive pipeline for recognizing individuals through soft biometric cues, particularly focusing on gesture sequences and facial expressions in natural interactions.
My journey in AI research began during my master's studies, where I developed novel approaches for human action recognition from still images using knowledge distillation and attention transfer techniques. My experience includes both academic research and industry applications, and I am passionate about expanding the applications of AI in a socially responsible way. I am always eager to connect with fellow researchers and practitioners to explore new insights and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.
