On 15-16 October 2018 the OECD-workshop "Protection of Children in a Connected World" took place at the University of Zurich.
In the context of the increasingly developing digital landscape and the associated risks for children and adolescents, 60 experts from all over the world exchanged views on questions such as "what new online risks arise in a digital landscape" or "what critical digital skills are required to increase risk awareness among children and teenagers". The aim of the workshop is to produce a new OECD report with recommendations for the protection of children on the Internet. This report will be published in early 2019.
The workshop was organized and conducted by DSI fellow Prof. Dr. Thomas Friemel and the Digital Society Initiative.
