DSI Podcast «Genial digital?» – Episode 2

The DSI podcast «Genial digital?» provides answers on topics related to digital transformation. In the first episodes, which were created in collaboration with the DSI Community Work, the podcast focuses on the future of work. The second episode deals with the effects of digitalization on managers.

In the second episode of the DSI podcast «Genial digital?», we look at the effects of digitalization on managers. Do they have to adapt their management style – and become more human in the future? If so, how should they do that? And does it make sense to show your emotions in business in general?

Podcast host Milena Ragaz visits DSI researcher and management professor Lauren Howe in her office at the University of Zurich. She has been researching for years the importance of a human leader for the future of work in a digital world.

Professor Lauren Howe highlights three exciting studies that provide some surprising insights on this topic. For example, one study shows that it can even be worthwhile for CEOs from a financial perspective to show their emotions. We discuss how this study was conducted and what implications this finding could have for CEOs. In addition, Lauren Howe explains how she believes the ideal leader of the future should be. Listen in.
