OSINT: Open Source Intelligence

The goal of this course is to teach students how publicly available information can be used for the good of society as well as for malicious purposes. Specifically, it aims to educate students on the responsible use of OSINT tools, while highlighting the ethical and legal considerations and methodological approaches necessary for preparing, conducting, and reporting research effectively.

In today's world, where an abundance of data is just a click away, the ability to collect and analyze open-source information has become more valuable than ever. OSINT is a cutting-edge method that enables you to gather crucial information from a variety of publicly available sources, including social media, news articles, government websites, and much more. From cybersecurity to politics, OSINT is an indispensable digital skill that empowers you to make informed decisions, support investigations, and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and threats. This course is the first in a series of modules we are currently developing to meet the growing demand for various digital skills that our modern age requires.

The course is offered via STS (School for Transdisciplinary Studies).
