Digital Society Initiative

EMOtive

Digital assistants such as smartphones support our everyday decision making. Digital devices not only facilitate our everyday life (for example helping us navigate in an unknown environment), but also influence our cognitive skills.

This research project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation empirically investigates the effects of human emotions provoked under time pressure (e.g., stress) on our capacities to navigate with digital maps.
