DSI Bridge Postdoc Call

The University of Zurich (UZH), the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and the Zurich University of Teacher Education (PHZH) are collaborating in the Digitalization Initiative of the Universities of Zurich «Digitalisierungsinitiative der Zürcher Hochschulen (DIZH)».

The aim of the DIZH is to promote cooperation between Zurich's higher education institutions in the field of digitalization and thus strengthen Zurich as a center of research and business.

As part of the DIZH activities, UZH will create several postdoc positions that will be part of the UZH Digital Society Initiative (DSI). The DSI provides an independent academic environment at UZH for promoting interdisciplinary innovation and critical reflection regarding all aspects of the digitalization of society and academia.

In this third and last call, several postdoc positions are to be assigned with funding available for four years.

Key points

Applicants must be young researches (PhD defense or equivalent by November 30, 2023 or net academic age below 4 years)
Project must include a collaboration with another DIZH University
Funding for a small independent research group including Postdoc and PhD salaries and material costs up to 780 kCHF for maximum of 4 years
Funding available for 3 to 4 researchers
Application deadline: September 17, 2023
Decision of the committee: latest Janury 2024
Approved candidates must start latest June 1, 2024
