Research Area

My research brings together several disciplinces – information systems, human-computer interaction, and social sciences – to create innovative digital solutions. I specialize in designing user-centric systems that contribute to public values such as resilience, transparency, and fairness.

In my current research, my team and I are focusing on several key areas: designing a digital platform for better crisis response and increased resilience on the example of the Ukrainian refugee crisis; leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to combat propaganda and disinformation in digital news to improve critical thinking of news readers; and exploring the role of LLMs in sustainable finance, particularly in interpreting climate-related data to enhance decision-making in forest investment projects.

I am committed to advancing the field of information systems by developing innovative solutions to tackle complex real-world problems and generating design knowledge that benefits organizations, individuals, and society.

Academic Career

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Digital Innovation at the University of Lausanne, a position I began in 2024. I am also an affiliated researcher at the Digital Society Initiative (DSI) at the University of Zurich, where I have been working as a DSI/DIZH postdoctoral researcher since 2021.

Before this, I worked as a business-IT consultant at Ergon Informatik AG in Zurich and as a part-time postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich's Information Management Research Group from 2019 to 2021. I completed my PhD in the same research group between 2015 and 2019.

Earlier in my career, I worked as a Business Analyst at CRIF LLC in Moscow from 2013 to 2015. I hold both a Master of Science (2013) and a Bachelor of Science (2011) in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow.
