PhD students are the next generation of scientists. It is crucial for their future prospects that they are always at the cutting edge of development with their skills.
The Digital Society Initiative (DSI) offers an Excellence Program for new and prospective PhD students at the University of Zurich (UZH) who are interested in the digital transformation. This is a supplementary curriculum to a doctoral program, general doctorate or doctoral subject. It prepares PhD students from all disciplines for an environment in which interdisciplinary collaboration in the processing of digitalization topics is a top priority. The program also promotes interdisciplinary networking across all faculties of the UZH.
For the upcoming program start in September 2025, all interested PhD students are invited to apply for the Excellence Program by January 15, 2025. The DSI awards scholarships to applicants with very good academic performance and a research interest in the effects of digitalization on society.
