The DSI project sustainability.discourses provides an insight into discourses on sustainable mobility in Zurich with two web applications: on the micro level as a review of the past four weeks and on the macro level with the help of a sustainability discourse map of the past decade.
The «sustainability.discourses» project focuses on sustainable urban development in Zurich. It asks questions such as: «What topics are currently being discussed?» or «How has the discourse on urban sustainability issues in Zurich developed over time?».
In order to be able to answer such questions, the project team with Mario Angst, Myriam Pham-Truffert, Neitah Müller and Viviane Walker developed two web applications with automated models to trace and understand urban sustainability discourses based on large amounts of media data.
sustainability.discourses is a project of the Digital Society Initiative (DSI) of the University of Zurich, funded by the Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Higher Education Institutions (DIZH).
