10.07.2024Successful completion of the Parldigi MasterClass Bern

From March 2023 to March 2024, five further education events were held for the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern as part of the Parldigi MasterClass. The members of the Grand Council were able to obtain information on a neutral basis on topics such as «Artificial Intelligence in Medicine», «Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain» and «Cybersecurity».

On June 12, 2024, the series of events was officially concluded with a lunch event in the Rathauskeller Bern. In addition to members of the Bern Grand Council, the speakers who shared their expertise in the MasterClass and representatives of NGOs working in the field of digital transformation were also invited.

During the event, the results of an anonymous survey on the Parldigi MasterClass were presented. The members of the Grand Council who had taken part in the further education events gave their opinions on the series of events through this survey. The results showed, among other things:

• Participants in the survey found the events on «Cybersecurity» and «Natural Language Processing in the Judicial Environment» the most interesting.
• The speakers' presentations were rated as the most interesting for the events on «Artificial Intelligence in Medicine» and «Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain».
• Of the 15 survey participants, eleven stated that the MasterClass on digitalization topics should be continued. Three people were unsure and only one person answered this question with «no».

The last point in particular allows the organizers to draw a very positive conclusion about the Parldigi MasterClass for the Bern Grand Council.
