Research Area and Research Interest: Throughout her studies and work experiences, Federica delved into the topic of digitization of health. Her master's thesis is on Blockchain application in healthcare data management as she believes that recognizing the centrality of clinical data and data exchange is the basic element for digital transformation. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the longstanding debate about digital healthcare gained new momentum and revealed that data sharing is a challenge in Europe given how disconnected and decentralised health systems are. From here, her interest in investigating professionals' trust in cross border health information exchange to ultimately identify barriers, enhance informed governance, and facilitate policymaking.

Fun Fact: She makes homemade pizza every weekend and she loves exploring Zurich on electric scooters!
