Berlin - Zurich Visiting Scholars Programm
The University of Zurich and Freie Universität Berlin wish to foster the scientific cooperation between the two institutions with a new funding scheme for visiting scholars. Planned as a short-run pilot project for the years 2018 and 2019, a total of eight research stays for visiting scholars are awarded. The call for proposals is open to all disciplines, although the focus area of this new funding scheme is digitalization. Proposals stemming from this interdisciplinary research area are being prioritized. Eligible to submit applications are full professors of both universities. The duration of a research stay is one month and has to take place during the semester. Applications for research stays need to be submitted the previous semester. The next submission deadline is May 15, 2018.

University of Geneva - University of Zurich Joint Seed Funding
Since spring 2018, a fund was set up to provide seed money for research projects carried out on a joint basis. The call for proposals for this joint seed funding is issued once a year (submission deadline: May 31, 2018). Funds are awarded in a competitive process. The call for proposals is open to all disciplines and subjects, however specific attention will be given to proposals covering digital issues. The funding is designed to finance the initial phases of joint research projects.
