Workshop on the ethics of complex systems: perspectives and challenges

Complexity science explores how locally interacting components can self-organize into unpredictable, large-scale behaviors without central control, posing ethical challenges that traditional frameworks struggle to address. Despite its growing application in areas like climate change, finance, and healthcare, ethical considerations often lag behind. This interdisciplinary one-day workshop aims to bridge the gap between complexity scientists and ethicists by fostering dialogue, showcasing research where ethics are essential, and discussing adaptable ethical frameworks to navigate the challenges of complex systems better.
