The DSI Community AI & Law is a platform for addressing the legal challenges of artificial intelligence, fostering academic discussions with an interdisciplinary perspective and facilitating networking among researchers, students and professionals. During the Spring Semester 2024 the community will organize a series of panel discussions for exploring the legal issues around artificial intelligence with an interdisciplinary perspective.
The second panel discussion titled «AI, Labour and Commercial Law» will focus on the legal implications of AI technology with regards to both workplace and commercial settings. Key points of the discussion will include the impact of AI on employees and companies with a focus on data protection issues, liability regimes for AI-related damage, mandatory insurance for technology companies, the European legislative framework on AI technology, compliance with the AI Act and the exploration of whether similar rules to the AI Act can also be adopted in Switzerland. The goal of the panel is not to hold a theoretical lecture, but combining technology and law, offering valuable insights from the expert panelists and fostering an interactive open discussion.
The event will be followed by an Apéro for networking. Everybody who is interested is welcome to attend.
More information will follow soon. For registering, please contact ai-law@dsi.uzh.ch.
